The lineup for the Lelenfant Festival on Nature Trails has been announced.

July 11–12, 2026, the Barycz Valley will become the largest outdoor art gallery for children and young people in Poland. Renowned artists from Poland, Iran, Germany, and Brazil will gather in the historic park in Żmigród and on the Krośnica Narrow Gauge Railway. Together with the young participants of the Lelenfant project, they will create an extraordinary celebration of art, nature, and intercultural dialogue.

This year’s festival reverses a familiar perspective. For five years, children and young people from around the world have come to Poland to delight audiences with their performances, music, and dance. This time, professional artists have prepared a program especially for them – full of installations, concerts, performances, street theater, and activities that invite them to explore the world together.

Four artistic tracks await participants:

FORM – sculptures, land art, and art installations
SOUND – concerts and musical studies
PERFORMANCE – street theater, busking, and performance art
WORLD – Lelenfant On Tour, international performances by children and young people from four continents.

FESTIVAL ARTISTS

SOUND

Piotr Damasiewicz & Justyna Miguła
One of the most recognizable duos on the Polish improvised music scene. Acclaimed trumpeter, composer, and jazz musician Piotr Damasiewicz and violinist and musicologist Justyna Miguła have been creating original projects inspired by world cultures for years. During their final concert in Żmigród, they will combine musical motifs from Iran, Romania, Brazil, Palestine, and Ethiopia, creating a live, multicultural “Musical Nest.”

Julita Lech-Antas & Piotr Antas “Terra Musica”
A relaxing concert featuring rare world instruments. Music inspired by nature, silence, and mindfulness will become a space for relaxation for entire families.

Arash Fattahi Marnani (Iran)
Performer and musician from Tehran will present the Steel Plates project – a unique musical installation in which steel plates become an instrument, and the audience becomes a co-creator of the performance.

Arash will also perform a solo concert featuring the Persian instrument Dotar.

Witold Roy Zalewski – “Kukaj Kukawko”
Music inspired by Polish children’s folklore, archaic instruments, and the natural world. An interactive concert for entire families.

Sylwia Sałamaj “Girl Hummingbird” & Tymoteusz Lasik
Original songs, guitar, ukulele, and sing-alongs. A musical encounter created with the youngest festival participants in mind.

FORM

Grzegorz Korczak & Badylowo
Author of the installation Matecznik – the symbol of this year’s edition of Lelenfant’s “Nest of Hope.” The monumental nest will remain after the festival as a permanent installation in the Barycz Valley.

Ewa Woźniak
Creator of the entire event’s design and the Forest Spirit installation, which guides visitors through the park and builds a coherent narrative.

Barbara Szymczak
Creator of the Tangled Nest installation. Her scenographic objects will also be part of Lelenfant’s final performance, “Nest of Hope,” at the Capitol Musical Theatre.

Beata Rojek
The Wrocław-based visual artist will present her original world, Obserwatorro—a series of monochromatic drawing installations inspired by nature and the fantastical creatures that inhabit it.

Aniela Astrid Gabryel
Film director, documentarian, and screenwriter, a graduate of the Łódź Film School and Jagiellonian University. During the festival, she will present her original installation, “Through the Eyes of Children,” a moving collection of short films made by children and young people from around the world.

Jan Sajdak
One of the most interesting contemporary Polish sculptors and land art creators. In his work, he uses natural wicker, creating monumental, organic forms that engage in dialogue with the landscape. His works can be found in Poland, Brazil, Germany, and Belgium. During Lelenfant on Nature Trails, he will present his “Venus” sculptures – monumental wicker forms inspired by Paleolithic female figures that organically fit into the park space, transforming with nature and becoming part of the life cycle of the Barycz Valley.

PERFORMANCE

Brenda Akele Jorde (Berlin)
Berlin-based circus artist, performer, and choreographer specializing in aerial acrobatics. During Lelenfant on Nature Trails, he will present spectacular choreographies on ribbons and trapeze, in which masterful technique meets poetic expression of movement.

Jasiek Grządziela – JaSię Theatre
Actor, performer, and founder of the original JaSię Theatre, he has been present at street theater, new circus, and busker festivals in Poland and Europe for years. His performances combine contemporary clowning, pantomime, acrobatics, and improvisation, drawing on the best traditions of street theater, where a direct connection with the audience is paramount.

Creo Kellab & EduMais (Rio de Janeiro)
Creo Kellab is a Brazilian actor, performer, director, and educator who has been leading artistic projects with children and youth in Rio de Janeiro for many years. In his work, he uses theater as a tool for building community, dialogue, and social development. He is the leader of the EduMais organization, which supports young people from Brazilian communities through art.

Hanna Daniszewska
An actress and theater educator with a long history of involvement in puppet theater. During the festival, she will present an intimate puppet theater performance, inviting the youngest audiences into the world of poetic storytelling inspired by nature.

Festival Curator

Iwona Frydryszak
Cultural manager, curator, educator, and journalist. For twenty years, she has been creating and leading international artistic and educational projects in Poland and abroad, collaborating with partners from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
For years, she has been developing her practice at the intersection of deep ecology, transformative education, and socially engaged art. She trained under the guidance of eminent thinkers and practitioners, including Ryszard Kulik and Jem Bendell, the Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures (GTDF) collective, School of Enough, and New Vision.

She is the founder and curator of Lelenfant on Nature Trails, a festival that integrates contemporary art into the landscape of the Barycz Valley, creating a space for professional artists, children, and local communities to meet. In her curatorial practice, she explores how art can support the restoration of human relationships with nature, strengthen community, and build a culture based on care, shared responsibility, and hope.

Why is it worth visiting Lelenfant on Nature Trails?

Because this isn’t a festival you can experience from one spot.

It’s an event you wander through.

For two days, the Barycz Valley will become a living art gallery, where there’s no clear line between stage and nature, artist and audience, concert and walk. Sculptures grow from trees, music resonates through the paths, performances appear unexpectedly, and international artists and children from around the world invite you to experience art together.
