Join us for an evening where you will experience the beauty of Iranian culture.
We are kicking off this year’s first Lelenfant Open Day – an open meeting for the residents of Wrocław, which we are dedicating to stories, memories and preparations for the next edition.
Lelenfant Open Day
20 February 2026 at Miserart – creativity zone, ul. Cybulskiego 35A, from 6 p.m.
The programme includes stories about Iranian culture, drinking Iranian tea and enjoying Iranian sweets together, calligraphy workshops, as well as an exhibition of Lelenfant photos and stories about the current situation in Iran and human rights. The event is organised by five wonderful women who have been living and working in Wrocław for years – Roxana, Leila, Somayeh, Fateme and Sara.
Lelenfant Open Day is an opportunity to learn about the Lelenfant Club for Families Curious About the World and the possibilities of participating in it in 2026. At the meeting, you will meet our Host Family Coordinator, Ewa Sawka, and families who have hosted children from Iran in their homes as part of holiday art and educational activities.
Admission to Lelenfant Open Day is free and no registration is required.
NOTE: Lelenfant Open Day is preceded by closed Flying HUB workshops for young people, which will include an intimate tasting of prepared Iranian dishes. Due to limited food preparation capacity, the number of places is limited and advance registration is required. Tasting participants will receive a voucher that allows them to visit the Flying HUB Pop Up Restaurant created by young people.
Lelenfant – a long history of sharing Iranian culture
This year, we decided to dedicate the first OPEN DAY meeting to Iranian culture. Iran is home to the largest number of Lelenfant participants after Poland, and our partnership with groups in Tehran dates back to 2013. It was then that Roxana Mehrafzoun came to the first edition of Brave Kids (the predecessor of Lelenfant organised by our team) with six young people from the Donya institution (an institution working in the field of research and education for peace). Roxana fell in love with our city and has been living in Wrocław ever since. It is with Roxana that we are preparing Friday’s event, and the international community in Wrocław from Iran, Jordan and Syria has joined in the preparations.
Under the guidance of Roxana, Leila, Somayeh, Sara and Fateme, and under the banner of our Foundation, we are creating an extraordinary event in Wrocław to express our solidarity with the people of Iran (including so many children and young people and their families involved in the Brave Kids project, now Lelenfant), and to showcase the beauty of this culture in our city.
In 2019, the founders of the Friendship Art Education Foundation, the organiser of Lelenfant, organised a study visit to Iran, where they were able to learn first-hand about the methods of working with children and young people developed in Iran, and above all, experience the extraordinary hospitality and beautiful culture.
Flying HUB - Pop UP RESTUARANT
