Lelenfant 2026 in the media — media about us

From February to August 2026, we conducted multi-stage media communications for the fifth edition of Lelenfant. Its goal was not only to reach audiences with information about individual events, but above all, to strengthen Lelenfant’s position as a mature, recognizable international project, created by an experienced team and rooted in Wrocław for five editions.

Over the course of eight months, communications ranged from social and local topics, through host families and the new Lelenfant on Nature Trails festival, to the arrival of international groups, the Great Lelenfant Parade, and the final “Nest of Hope” at the Capitol Musical Theatre.

The result was over 40 documented media releases, at least six in-depth radio and television interviews, eight dedicated press releases and mailings, and three radio campaigns.

Main Narrative: Fifth Edition and Lelenfant’s Established Position

One of the key communication goals for 2026 was to demonstrate that Lelenfant is not just a single event held in July.

The fifth edition allowed us to tell the story of the project through its continuity, experience, and reputation built over the years.

In our communication, we emphasized both the international scale of Lelenfant and the strong team of artists, educators, producers, and coordinators behind it, as well as the network of long-standing partnerships with organizations from around the world.

Another important element of this narrative was showcasing the community that has grown around the project over the past five editions: young participants, host families, volunteers, local organizations, cultural institutions, and individuals co-creating subsequent editions of Lelenfant.

This allowed media communication to gradually shift from promoting individual events to building the recognition and reputation of the entire project.

Wrocław as a Place for a Unique Intercultural Encounter

The second important direction was to firmly anchor Lelenfant in the context of Wrocław.

In our communication, we wanted to present the project not only as an international event taking place in Wrocław, but as a unique intercultural encounter being created here.

Young people from various countries, languages, and cultures come to the city, but Lelenfant is not based on simply presenting cultures on stage. Participants live in host families, work in local communities, learn from each other, and create together.

Therefore, important media topics included not only the Grand Finale and the Parade, but also host families, local activities, education through art, young people’s participation, trust, and building relationships across borders.

Wrocław was not a backdrop in this story, but one of the protagonists of Lelenfant—a city that, for several weeks, becomes a place where young people from different parts of the world actually meet.

A New Media Story: Lelenfant on Nature Trails

One of the most important new communication narratives of 2026 was Lelenfant on Nature Trails—a premiere interdisciplinary festival held in the Barycz Valley.

The new format expanded the media image of Lelenfant.

In addition to young artists and the project’s characteristic “kids teach kids” concept, professional art created for children, youth, and families by established artists appeared.

The program included artists such as Piotr Damasiewicz and Justyna Miguła, Brenda Akele Jorde, Arash Fattahi Marnani, Beata Rojek, Jan Sajdak, and Ewa Woźniak. Improvised music, new circus, performance, installations, and visual art were combined with the landscape and nature of the Barycz Valley.

This was a significant expansion for media communication: Lelenfant could be presented not only as a project for international artistic education for young people, but also as the organizer of an interdisciplinary contemporary art program for young audiences.

The festival’s communication was divided into three phases. In May, we began with local media and smaller towns, in June we presented the program and invited artists, and in July, the story reached Wrocław, regional, and national media.

This resulted in approximately 10–12 media releases, including RMF FM, Radio Wrocław, Wroclife, e-teatr.pl, and NGO.pl, as well as local and regional media.

From Host Families to the Grand Finale

All communication for Lelenfant 2026 was planned as a story unfolding over the coming months.

The first media story appeared in February with the Iranian Evening of Culture and Solidarity at MiserArt, connecting Lelenfant with themes of culture, solidarity, human rights, and intercultural dialogue.

From March to May, the Host Family Club and the “Click on Curiosity!” campaign became the main story. This was the first major media campaign of the 2026 edition, present on television, radio, print, and online media, and supported by a paid campaign on Radio RAM.

From May to July, we developed communication for Lelenfant on Nature Trails.

July marked the culmination of the media presence. The arrival of the international Lelenfant community in Wrocław, the Great Lelenfant Parade, and the “Nest of Hope” Grand Finale at the Capitol Musical Theatre combined the earlier stories into a single image for the fifth edition.

The media then showcased not only the events themselves, but also the scale of the process behind the finale: the international community, the artistic and educational work, the young participants, and the people who created Lelenfant.

Materials about the project appeared on TVP Wrocław, Radio Wrocław, Radio RAM, Radio Rodzina, RMF, Gazeta Wrocławska, Wroclaw.pl, Wroclife, e-teatr.pl, NGO.pl, Wrocław Nasze Miasto, PIK Wrocław, MiastoDzieci, and DlaStudenta, among others, as well as in local and regional media.

Not Just Publications – In-Depth Conversations

An important outcome of the 2026 communication was the presence of Lelenfant in formats that allowed for going beyond standard event promotion.

At least six longer, approximately 30-60-minute radio and television conversations created a space for discussing the values, working methods, and people behind the project.

Lelenfant was discussed in the media by Iwona Frydryszak, Jolanta Czajkowska-Patyna, Julita Lech-Antas, Mary Sadowska-Łakomy, Elżbieta Woźniak-Łojczuk, and Beata Trybusz.

The discussions focused on topics such as education through art, intercultural dialogue, host families, youth empowerment, international cooperation, diversity, trust, and belonging.

This allowed for building a media image of Lelenfant not only by asking “what will happen and when?” but above all, “why are we doing this and what is the significance of this project?”

Relationship-Based Media Relations

Elżbieta Woźniak-Łojczuk was responsible for the overall coordination of media relations, press communications, and collaboration with journalists during Lelenfant 2026. Beata Trybusz led communications and media coverage of Lelenfant on Nature Trails.

Another significant asset of the fifth edition was the relationships with journalists built over the years of the project’s existence.

Among those who created space for longer conversations and in-depth stories about Lelenfant were, among others: Anna Fluder, Justyna Janus-Konarska, Nikodem Rubelek, Joanna Łukaszewska, Piotr Osowicz, and Ewa Miedzwiecka.

This meant that Lelenfant’s media presence didn’t have to start from scratch each time. The fifth edition was able to build on the recognition and trust built in previous years, while simultaneously introducing new stories and new directions of development to the media.
